Home: Changes at DSB, 7/09
Effective July 1, 2009, the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) assumes primary responsibility for the provision of services to all visually impaired individuals under age 55, including those not seeking employment.
To learn more, call (800) 552-7103 or visit DSB online.
According to state regulations, you are entitled to an interview as soon as feasibly possible after your initial contact with DSB, and you must be notified in writing if they determine you to be ineligible for their services. If you are dissatisfied with their determination regarding your eligibility for services, you may appeal their decision. DSB is required to provide you with information about the appeal process.
