  Donation Through a Will or Bequest

Remembering Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted in your will helps us to continue to grow and expand our programs. Through your legacy you can make a lasting difference in the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired.

Below we have listed some information that may help you in your estate planning. We always recommend that you work with an attorney, estate, or financial professional when making any estate plans. Making a bequest:

  1. General Bequest
    "I give, devise, and bequeath to Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Seattle, WA the sum of $____________ or % of my estate____________ (OR all my right, title and interest in the following described property_____________) for the benefit of Community Services for the Blind and its general purposes."
  2. Specific Bequest
    "I give, devise, and bequeath to Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Seattle, WA the sum of $_____________ (OR a description of a specific asset), for the benefit of Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted to be used for the following purpose _______(state the purpose)."
  3. Residuary Bequest
    "I give to Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Seattle, WA all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for the benefit of Community Services for the Blind and its general purposes."
  4. Contingent Bequest
    "In the event that _____________ (name of spouse, child, sibling, etc) shall not survive me, then I give the same to Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Seattle WA for the benefit of Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted as it's general purposes."
